About Us
First Financial Credit Union
At FFCU you become part of a family where your needs are important to our staff. We go that extra mile to help you obtain your financial goals and met your lending needs. Having been in business for more than 55 years (formerly Jefferson City Highway Credit Union) we strive to continually provide outstanding service from a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Why Join A Credit Union
A credit union is the best place to get financial services for several reasons, credit unions exist only to benefit their members. They are cooperatives. Credit unions cannot be taken over by some larger institution unless our members voted in favor of that. In the credit union you are an owner, not just a customer.
A volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the membership, directs the credit union. Their only interest is making sure that the credit union is operated in a way that benefits their members.
There are no outside shareholders to take profits out of the financial institution. So the modest profits credit unions make are distributed to their members in the form of lower rates for loans and higher rates for deposits, plus retained as capital to insure we provide our members with the products and services they want.
